SOUL PILOT at The Mixx (10-17-2015)

We visited with this band before and always enjoy their performance, but what a special treat to see them tonight!  On this night SOUL PILOT introduced their new female lead vocalist, Riya Davis. We're seen her perform before with her band called Adagio at Mezz 127.   This gal can sing!   We decided to postponed our plans for the rest of the evening and just spent it here at The Mixx.  We were not disappointed.  Thank you Russell for singing 'Gorgy Porgy', and Happy Birthday to Peter who was also celebrating his day tonight.

GOOD FOOT at Anna O'Brien's (10-9-2015)

 

Tonight we ventured to Anna O'Brien's for the first time, to see Good Foot.  What is Good Foot?  "Soul, Funk & Afrobeat Dance Music" as described on their website.(http://goodfoothawaii.com)

Seasoned musicans and a Soulful singer.  We were not disappointed.  Please check out these captured Golden Moments!

PAT "KING" KOH JAZZ ENSEMBLE at The Dragon Upstairs (9/26/2015)

It's all worth it once you make it up the long flight of steps at the Dragon Upstairs.  Something about the deco of this place that's edgy and relaxing all at the same time.  Combined with good music and you've arrived to a very special place in downtown Chinatown.  Tonight it's the PAT 'KING' KOH JAZZ ENSEMBLE playing Jazz Standards from the American Song Book. We enjoy hearing this band and listening to Pat's voice.  Mahalo guys!  Till next time---Don't Stop The Music!

GLASS CANDLE

This was to be GLASS CANDLE'S warm up session before the 70s Nightclub Reunion.  No warming up needed.  These guys nailed it!  We can't wait to see them tomorrow night at The Ala Moana Hotel.

Looking for a clean, relaxing place to unwind after work?  Check out this band every first Thursday at The Lounge at The Honolulu Club, Hawaii's Premire Fitness Center.  The Lounge is open the public and offers a full bar and a tapas menu. Tapestry plays a variety of lounge music, to include Jazz, R&B, Rock, Country and Hawaiian.  On this night, special guest Marshall Kaniho joined them on keyboards.
